Harley security system

2007 Harley WideGlide with the keybob security system. I was told today by a fellow HarleyGuy that I’d better change the battery in the little keybob every year or so or I could get caught out with no way to start the bike. My question is there a way to just turn the friggin thing off entirely?? If they steal the thing that would give me an excuse to get something else. I’m more interested in turning it off than anything else. Thanks.
